Antinous | traditional art

I drew Antinous.

In my opinion, beauty is in harmony. I chose the sketch of the head of Antinous as an example of a harmonious visual image.

The interest in this, of course, was greatly increased by the fact that the sculpture is the only image of Antinous that survived from the time of Ancient Greece.

In Ancient Greece, the ideal of beauty was considered absolute proportional athletic bodies. The same in the face. Faces in which the distance between the eyes corresponds to the size of one eye, according to the Greeks, were harmonious. A straight nose, which actually continued the forehead line, was also called the Greek profile in our times.

We thought about the beauty standard. The image of Antinous fits this description perfectly.
